Nicolás holds a Ph.D. in physics (UAM, 2008) and is European patent attorney (EQE 2014). He has worked as scientific researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (IFT-UAM/CSIC, 2003-2008), with temporal research stays at KAIST (South Korea, 2005) and University of South Paris (France, 2007). Nicolás has broad experience advising clients on the prosecution of patent applications before the SPTO and the EPO. His duties include drafting patent applications and participating in examination, opposition, and appeal proceedings. He participates regularly as expert at infringement/validity Court Proceedings. His main technical areas of expertise include mechanical and electronics engineering, physics, renewable energies, new materials, nanotechnology, medical devices, telecommunications, software and fintech.

Gustavo holds a M.Sc. in Aeronautic Engineering (UPM, 2006), and is European Patent Attorney (EQE 2016), Spanish IP Attorney (2013) and EU Attorney of Trademarks and Designs (2013). He has been working as a patent attorney since 2012 and has taken part in several training sessions and courses, organized both by the EPO and by the SPTO. He is the appointed representative of a wide range of EP applications, as well as PCT and Spanish applications, representing his clients in technological fields as medical devices, engineering, electronics, renewable energy. Amongst his duties, he drafts patents and communications in response to office actions and opinions of the EPO and the SPTO. He is also used to draft opposition and appeal writs and has also taken part of legal procedures before the Spanish Court as an expert.

Irene holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics (UAM, 2017), a MSc. in Nanotechnology (UAM, 2013), and a MSc. in Chemical Engineering (UPM, 2012). She has 8 years of experience in scientific research, both nationally (National Center for Biotechnology, Institute of Physical Chemistry “Rocasolano”, Madrid Institute of Studies in Nanoscience, IMDEA Nanoscience) and internationally (Institute of Molecular Pathology, Austria). Irene is responsible for the preparation of patentability and infringement reports, drafting of patents and utility models and responses to official actions. She is also in charge of developing the digital content strategy. Her areas of expertise include chemical and industrial engineering, nanotechnology, single-molecule biophysics, microfluidics, chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, and renewable energies.

Eva holds a degree in biochemistry (UGR, 2001) and a Master in Biotechnology, (ALITER Business School 2002). Eva has more than 18 years of experience in the IP sector and has worked for different IP firms in Madrid advising and managing multinational companies, SMEs, universities and research groups. She has extensive experience in drafting and processing patent applications, preparing technical reports on patentability, validity and infringement, as well as enforcing CCPs. Eva has also lectured at various Spanish universities, especially on subjects related to patentability of biotechnological inventions.

Claudia holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics (UAM, 2019) and has more than four years of experience in both national and international research. Her experience extends as well to teaching, science communication and outreach, database and financial information management and corporate strategy in the technological sector. Her responsibilities lie mainly on the elaboration of patentability and infringement reports, drafting of patents and utility models and responses to actions of the official patent offices in Spain and Europe. Her areas of expertise span from mechanical engineering to electronics, with a special focus on physics and modern technological fields.

Javier holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics (UAM, 2021) and has more than four years of experience in scientific research. In addition, he has combined his research activity with university teaching and the promotion of networks of representation and exchange of knowledge and experiences between CSIC’s PhD students. He is responsible for the preparation of patentability and infringement reports and drafting of patents, utility models and responses to both national and international official actions. His areas of experience cover different technical fields, such as telecommunications, mechanical engineering and electronics, among others.

Carolina is a Materials Engineer (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), 2021),with a Master in Biomedical Technologies Management and Development  (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), 2022). She has a large experience in omics technologies and she has worked at the “Organic Nanotechnology” group at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). Her main responsibilities at Tribalyte Ideas include the preparation of patentability and infringement reports, drafting of patent specifications, utility models and responses to official actions at national and international levels also. Her areas of technical expertise and experience include and cover mainly engineering, materials science, biomedicine, biotechnology and nanotechnology.

Cristina is the head of Tribalyte Ideas’ Paralegal Department. She is responsible for the filing of patents and utility models, as well as for advising and managing our clients’ patent portfolios, and communicating with patent offices and foreign associates worldwide. She began her career in the field of intellectual property more than a decade ago. She has worked at top-tier firms in this field, and has taken numerous specialized courses organized by the main patent offices and IP international institutions. Cristina is used to manage international patent portfolios in collaboration with our extensive network of foreign attorneys. She is in also charge of our electronic docketing services, being an expert in the online tools provided by the SPTO, EPO and WIPO, as well as other foreing IP offices.

Beatriz has been dedicated to the intellectual property sector since 2011. She has worked at top IP firms, where she has acquired a wide knowledge of the field, complemented with courses. Beatriz is in charge of the processing of patents and utility models before the national and international Patent Offices from filing to grant, as well as the management of validations and renewal fees. She also carries out other procedures within the department, such as preparing budgets and writing submissions, maintenance of our corporate image and managing our network of foreign associates. Beatriz also participates in the functional development of our IP docketing and management software (IPatia™) and the monitoring and compliance with the deadlines established.

Lorena has extensive experience in administration, communication, and customer service positions. She has been working in different sectors for more than ten years helping to solve any problem. Since 2019 she is fully dedicated to the IP field and, since then, Lorena has successfully completed an advanced course on Intellectual Property administrative management for paralegal professionals. Lorena is also in charge of client management, billing and accountancy for matters related to patents and utility models, as well as of the submission of payments to foreign associates from different countries , and payments of official fees to the SPTO and EPO. She also collaborates with the functional development of the IPatia™ docketing software. 

Elisa has extensive experience in communication, administration, human resources, finance, and internal organization positions. She has been working in different sectors for more than fifteen years, and is in charge of Tribalyte Ideas’ Administration Department from 2016. In 2020, she also became our Quality Director, obtaining for Tribalyte the ISO 9001:2015 Standard with the Bureau Veritas certifier. Elisa is also in charge of our global billing, accountancy , and internal organization departments, being the main manager at the administrative level of the company. She also participates in talent acquisition processes for both Tribalyte Ideas and Tribalyte Technologies, the software development area of the company.
